Sweet Box
The Sweet Box provides fragrant and visual interest in winter. It has glossy green leaves with sweet smelling, small white flowers which are followed by black berries. Well received by bees and other wildlife at that time of year.

Sweet box is happy in shade and can tolerate most partial conditions if required.
Care Level
This is a low maintenance plant.
Watering
Water Sweet Box regularly in the first year but it is drought tolerant once established.
Feeding
Use a good quality, peat free compost when planting and add to soil once a year in spring to provide added nutrients.
Soil
Ensure soil is well drained. It doesn't like soggy roots. When planting add a drainage medium, such as grit or crocs, to encourage better drainage.
