Melcourt pine mini chips finishing bark is perfect for mulching borders and plants in pots and is a great way for adding polish for a great finish.
We suggest applying a 3cm layer of bark to the top of your soil to help conserve moisture and deter weeds and pests. Overtime, the bark breaks down to an organic compost, helping to feed the plants. Mulching plants helps to provide an insulating layer which substantially reduces the effects of ground freezing and over-heating during extreme weather conditions.
Made from natural, sustainably produced mature British pine, the Melcourt mini chips are endorsed by the RHS and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®.

Delivery & Returns
SOTO GARDENS EDITS AND COLLECTIONS: Soto deliver nationwide for all individual plants, pots and accessories via our courier partner, DPD within 3-7 working days. Outdoor plants will be delivered from the 18th March, a member of the Soto team will be in touch closer to the time. From the 18th March, Soto border collections are hand delivered within 3-7 working days to Greater London and the Home Counties. Please get in touch if you live outside these areas. Delivery is free for all orders over £50. For orders under £50, we charge £6. If you would like your order delivered after this period, please let us know when you’d like to take receipt in the delivery notes. Top Tip
Add mulch to your borders once or twice a year. Add bark in the spring, after the soil has warmed up but is still moist from winter rains. Add again in the autumn to protect roots from frost and add nutrients.
