Horticultural Grit
Horticultural gravel (or grit) can be mixed into compost and soil to improve drainage, especially in clay heavy soil. It can also be used to create paths, as a topper for plants in pots and to finish water features.
This grit particle size is 4-10mm and is endorsed by the RHS.
Please note: The Horticultural Grit can only be hand delivered within London and the Home Counties.
Top Tip
Horticultural grit is a great addition to your borders when planting in heavier soils, such as clay. Work it into your border when planting to break up soil and help create space for your plants and their roots to thrive.
