Key information
Sage is a strongly scented herb used for cooking, famous in stuffing. It is not only tasty but pretty too, producing lots of purple, blue and white flowers in the spring and summer.
Plants will be delivered from the last week of March to protect them from frost damage. If you would like them earlier, please get in touch.
A member of the Soto team will be in contact in mid-March to arrange a convenient date for delivery.

Outdoor plants will be delivered from the 18th March, a member of the Soto team will be in touch closer to the time. From the 18th March, Soto border collections are hand delivered within 3-7 working days to Greater London and the Home Counties. Please get in touch if you live outside these areas. Sage leaves can be harvested at any time but for the best flavour pick from late spring into autumn.
How to care for Sage

Sage is most happy in the full sun but can tolerate some time in the shade. Prefers a sheltered spot.

Water well in its early stages but once established, Sage is quite draught tolerant.
Feeding
Compost
Plant with a good quality, peat free compost. Don't overfeed Sage, the flavour will be less intense.
Soil
If planting in the ground
If planting in the ground, Sage prefers loamy or chalky soil but the most important thing is that the soil is well drained.
